Joseph E. Allcorn, 86 local resident since 1904, died Tuesday at his home after a long illness.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church here, with the Rev. R. E. Streetman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Wright's Funeral Home.
Mr. Allcorn was born Oct. 17 1871 in Tennessee. He was a retired house-mover.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Raymond of Coleman, Clyde of Grand Falls, J. T. of Phoenix, Ariz. And Monroe of Snyder; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Sartain of Coleman, Mrs. Jewel DeBusk of McCarney, Mrs. Rachel Sartain of Abilene and Mrs. Dorothy McKinney of Victoria; one brother, Monroe Henley of Brady; three sisters Mrs. Billy Lyons and Mrs. Ellie Tucker, both of Coleman and Mrs. Hattie Strange of El Centro, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
