Eddie Black passed away Wednesday morning September 21, 2011, in Rockwall.
Interment at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.
Eddie was born August 23, 1920, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, the daughter of Eddie Weaver Farmer and Una Olivia Cain Farmer.
On April 13, 1941, she married Wilson O. Black, Jr. in Sulphur Springs. Eddie had been a self-employed cosmetologist at Vogue Beauty Shop in Oak Cliff. She lived in Dallas prior to moving to Wills Point thirty-three years ago. Eddie was awarded her fifty year member pin from the Order of the Eastern Star, chapter #366 on July 17, 2011. She also was a member of the Darlin´ Damsels Red Hat Club, Van Zandt County Home Extension Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W. O. Black, Jr. in 1990; two sisters, Una May Wilkinson and Lois Lancaster; son-in-law, Aaron Ponder and a grandson, Jeff Ponder.
Eddie is survived by her daughter; sister; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren.
