Mrs. Binder Rites Monday at Greeley
Funeral services will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Macy’s mortuary, Greeley, for Mrs. Godfrey Charles Binder, 64, who died Thursday night at her home near Milliken after a long illness.
Interment will be at Linn Grove cemetery, Greeley. Rev. H.J. Stroh of St. Paul’s Congregational church, Greeley, will conduct the services.
Mrs. Binder, whose maiden name was Mary Dorothea Stroh, was born in Frank, Saratov, Volga, Russia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stroh, Oct. 28, 1884.
The family moved to Denver in 1893 where Mrs. Binder attended the public schools and resided until her marriage to Godfrey Charles Binder of Johnstown, July 28, 1903 where she lived until her death.
To this marriage six children were born all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Bennett Spaur and Mrs. Edward Langenbahn, both of Johnstown, Charles Binder, Jr., of Aurora, Floyd Binder, Mrs. Wayne Oster and Howard Binder, all of Milliken.
She also is survived by her husband, 13 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Thomas Norton of Wilmington, Ill., who made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Binder from early girlhood until her marriage, and four brothers, Jake and Conrad, both of Milliken, and John and Henry, both of Johnstown.
A sister, Barbara, and a brothers, Charles, preceded her in death.
At the age of 15 she became a member of the German Lutheran church in Denver. She also was a member of the Johnstown Order of Eastern Star.
