Birth: Sep. 11, 1819
Death: Feb. 17, 1908

Nicholas Casner was born 11 Sep 1819 in Lebanon, Hunterdon Co., NJ, went west and enlisted in Jackson County, Iowa and served in the Civil War in Comp B 26 IA Infantry. He and his wife Emma Amelia Kellogg farmed in Lincoln Co., KS and retired to Hutchinson. Their son Frank Casner died young in Cattoosa Station, Indian Territory. Their son Fred Casner (wife Clara Sawyer) lived in Kansas City, MO, but they are also buried in Hutchinson. (see link) Their daughter Amy married Daniel Y. Miller and moved to Pocatello, ID. She died in Los Angeles in 1937.
