|Birth: ||Jun. 30, 1865|
|Death: ||May 27, 1949|
Alternate spelling: Lytle Asberry Absher
Lytle's death certificate lists his middle name as "Asbury," and his birth in "Tennessee." The records of Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home list his middle name as "Asberry" and his birth in "Sumner County, Tennessee." However, he's shown born in "Illinois" in all censuses except 1920 which listed him born in Tennessee.
He married Ella Perdue (09 July 1888), and Mrs. Ida Gibson (16 Aug 1939).
Lytle's farm in Portland comprised much of the land which is now Maple Hill Cemetery. He operated a general merchandise store in Portland with his father-in-law, and later owned the store "Enders & Absher."
