Death Ends Her sufferings.
Miss Elizabeth R. Stewart died Monday, Jan. 4, at the home of her mother, Mrs. Nancy Stewart, 2 miles so. of Paola. She had been in poor health for a number of years, and spent six months in Arizona and the west for the benefit of her health, but got no better and returned home. For six months previous to her death she was almost constantly confined to her bed. She was born in Warren co., Ohio August 24, 1859, and came with her parents to this county when quite young. She was a sincere Christian, a member of the Baptist church, having united with that denomination when a child. She was a daughter of the late Robert Stewart and leaves a mother, a sister and four brothers to mourn her death.The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Dr. Ferguson of the Baptist chrch, were held at the family residence Wednesday afternoon. The remains were buried in the Paola cemetery.
