Richard J. Caccia, the former Mr. Mystic, a local magician of the Wyoming Valley area, formerly of New Alexander Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday at Valley Crest, Plains Township.
Born Dec. 29, 1922, in Mildred, he was a son of the late Carlo and Esther (Unti) Caccia. He was a supervisor for the Deluxe Game Corp. for several years and lastly a supervisor for the T.P. Corp., Duryea, until retiring in 1992. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II, serving in oceangoing service during the period of armed conflict from 1941 to 1945. He attended the Holy Family Parish, St. Ann's Church, Luzerne.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Rudolph; and
sister, Grace Sheaks. Surviving are his wife, the former Josephine Barto, Kingston; sons, Richard, Fincastle, Va.; David, Kansas City, Kan.; and Mark, Kingston; one grandson; brothers, Merico, Elmira, N.Y.; John, Dushore; Orlando, Hampton, Va.; and Ferdinand, Luzerne; sister, Mary Fairchild, Allentown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday from the George A. Strish Funeral Home, 269 Bennett St., Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, St. Anne's Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
