Myra E. Dietzel, 96, of Fenton Park Nursing Home, formerly of 11 E. Summit Ave., Lakewood, died at 8:35 a.m. Monday (Dec. 18, 1989) in WCA Hospital. She was the widow of David V. Dietzel, who died in 1974. A Lakewood resident since 1936, she was born March 18, 1893, in Milford, N.Y., a daughter of Grover W. and Lina J. Baldwin Saxton. Mrs. Dietzel was employed as a butcher by the former P&A Supermarket in Lakewood and earlier had been an inspector at Marlin Rockwell Corporation. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, Friendship Circle and was a life member and past noble grand of Lady of the Lake Rebekah Lodge. She was a charter member of Lakewood Busti Golden Agers.

Surviving are two daughters: Phyllis Till of Jamestown and Marilyn L. Olson of Elkins, W. Va.; seven grandchildren: Donna Leven of Plantation, Fla.; Nikki Dietzel of Miami Lakes, Fla.; James R. and Gary D. Till, both of Jamestown; Stephen M. Olson of Sewickley, Pa.; Lori E. Terrill of Corry, Pa. and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, H. Victor Dietzel, who died in 1919; a daughter, Doris Josephine Dietzel, in 1951; and two brothers: Guy and Lyle Saxton. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Ricker, pastor of Lakewood United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, where Lady of the Lake Rebekah Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The family suggests memorials may be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church.
