FORMER PA. STATE REP. RENWICK DIED TODAY

Mass On Monday For Straub Avenue Resident

William F. Renwick, 65, of 130 Straub Avenue, former member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, died this morning at four o'clock at the Extended Care Unit of the Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 30, 1915 in St. Marys, son of the late Lawson and Julia Bucheit Renwick.

He is survived by his wife, the former Aurelia O'Donnell, whom he married January 17, 1936 in St. Marys; a daughter, Kathleen, Mrs. William Bauer, of St. Marys; two sons, Jack, of Reno, Nev.; Joseph, of Punxsutawney; two sisters, Mary, Mrs. Robert Anderson; Louise, Mrs. James Samick; two brothers, Thomas and Walter Renwick, all of St. Marys; and 12 grandchildren.

Mr. Renwick, a life-long resident of St. Marys, attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated in 1934 from Central High School. In 1935 he became an employee of the Grand Union Company, a grocery chain with their main offices in Binghamton, N.Y. In 1936 he was appointed manager of the local store, located at 210 Chestnut Street. In 1938 he purchased the local store and operated it under the name of the Grand Market until 1954.

He served on St. Marys Borough Council from 1945 to 1949. In 1854 he was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and held that office for 24 years, until 1978.

He was a member of the K. of C., the American Legion, a life-long member of the Elks Club and a life-member of the St. Marys Sportsmen's Club.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 11:30 in Sacred Heart Church with interment to follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.

Relatives and friends will be received at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 9 and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
