.. Family Bible Record of Cornelius and Elizabeth Utley Luyster. The bible was published and sold by Kimber and Sharpless, 93 Market St., Philadelphia.
.. "Note: Cornelius Luyster was the son of Peter and Rachel Van Orden Luyster, who lived in New Jersey. He was born in the old Conewago Colony and came with his parents to Mercer Co., Ky in 1793. He married Elizabeth Utley, daughter of Josiah and Nancy Barker Utley of Fayette Co., Ky, and came to Johnson Co., Ind. in 1830, where he entered land just west of First Mt. Pleasant Church. He and his wife are buried in the cemetery near that church. Cornelius Luyster was a soldier of the War of 1812."
