Carl W. Baker, 78, of Two West Penn, Carlisle, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in Carlisle.
Born March 22, 1925, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Boyd C. and Carrie (Wickey) Baker.
He was a carpenter for Dean Ellerman and was employed at Dickinson College as a maintenance worker. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Baker is survived by three nephews, Lester Fuls of Carlisle, Jack Fuls of Shiloh and Paul Thayer of Pametto, Fla.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Katherine Baker, Rodessa Thayer, Helen Wood, Ethel Fuls, and a brother, Robert Baker.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Timothy D. Keller officiating. Burial with military honors conducted by the Cumberland Valley Honor Guard will be held in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
