Plagmann, Robert H., age 79, retired district sales manager, antique dealer and stained glass artist, passed away on December 2, 2007. A rosary service will be held 7pm Tuesday at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral Mass 10am Wednesday, at St. Mary Faith Center, 2300 E. Meadowlark with a private family graveside following the Mass. Robert (Bob) was born on February 15, 1928 in Kansas City, MO. His education included Baker University, KC Art Institute and Wichita State University. Bob spent years in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War. He met Margaret (Marge) L. Smith in Kansas City and married her in Ferguson, MO on April 27, 1952. Bob and Marge moved to the Wichita area in 1954, and to Derby in 1956, where they raised their five children. After his retirement, Bob and Marge started an antique business. This led to his later hobby/career as an exceptional stained glass artist. He designed and crafted over 100 Tiffany style lampshades for individuals all over the country and numerous stained glass windows for area homes and businesses. His work was featured in national calendars and newspapers. Bob is survived by his wife Marge, his five children, Mike (Dana) of Wichita, Scott of Derby, Dean of Ponca City, OK, Rob (Debbie) of Derby and Patti of Houston, TX, his four grandchildren, Jenna (Todd) Looper` Jessica (Tom) Fisher, Mitch Plagmann, Kari Plagmann and one great-grandchild, Julia Looper. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Louise Plagmann; brother, Don Plagmann; sister, LouAnn Wetzel and daughter-in-law, Sundy Plagmannn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Faith Center, Building Fund, 2300 E. Meadowlark, Derby, KS 67037, The Lord's Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214.
