Adam was my great grandfather and he lived in Severance, KS and later lived in Highland, KS in 1892. He was the youngest child of George Washington Dittemore and Emily (Tyler) Dittemore. He married Rachel Anne Landrum in 1890. They had seven children (2 girls and 5 boys) . His sons, Edgar and Harold preceded his death. His wife, Rachel, passed in 1940. He left behind his five remaining children, 28 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Adam left his land to his grandchildren and some farm land still belongs in the Dittemore family.

There is a large Dittemore headstone in front of their graves. The graves of Wesley Landrum and Harold Dittemore are also in the same plot area.
