"MORRIS ... Lucinda Carr Matteson [sic], the eighth of the twelve children of Green and Sally Priest Carr was born January 29, 1843, in the town of Laurens. In early womanhood she was united in marriage with Edwin Matteson, and her entire married life was spent on the Matte[r]son farm in Upper Dimmock Hollow, near the head of Allen's Pond. To them were born seven children, two of whom, Mrs. Neva Matte[r] son Elliott and Mrs. Ellen Matte[r]son Bell, died several years ago. After the death of her husband about twenty years ago, Mrs. Matte[r]son went to New Berlin to live with her daughter, Mrs. La Pearl Camp, who has faithfully cared for her during her long invalidism.
