Mr Batson was a retired Air Force veteran. He was the beloved husband of Doris (Thomas) Batson; beloved father of Wayne Batson and wife Denise of Hampstead, Kelly Witherspoon and husband Richard of Hampstead; grandchildren; Paul Batson and wife Liz of Concord, NC, Lori Batson of Hampstead, Katie Witherspoon of Hampstead and Jeffrey Witherspoon of Hampstead; great grandchildren; Ayden Batson and Ella Batson. He was a life long member of Hampstead Baptist Church and Deacon for many years. He was owner and operator of Les & Paul's Auction for many years in Ogden, NC. He is loved and missed by many.
