Richard Masden was the oldest of 3 children born to Robert G and Minnie Lee McAllister on November 17, 1897, in Kansas City, Missouri.
By age 12, 1910, he was listed in the census for Las Vegas, San Miguel county, New Mexico. Along with his parents, two siblings, and half sister.
He lived in Las Vegas through the 1920 census.
He married Mildred Olivia Wingo January 6,1923, in Roswell, New Mexico. He and Mildred had 3 children: Willis Paul, Richard Ralph, & Rosemary. They divorced March 1930.
He then is recorded living in Yuba county, California in 1942, where he passed away of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1948.
We have found no record of him ever marrying again.
(Bobbie Durham-Sep 2011)

The 1897 birth date and MO birthplace conflicts with his 1910 and 1920 census records as well as the marriage year (1899) of his parents. 1902 in New Mexico seems more likely.
