Ernest A. Daudert, 76, of Loveland died Thursday, Sept. 25, at McKee Medical Center Hospice Care Unit in Loveland.
He was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Hindenburg, Ostpreusen, Germany, to Richard and Elisa (Nedebock) Daudert. He was raised on a farm and attended schools in Hindenburg. He came to the United States in October 1952 and worked on a farm in Wiggins and then as a gas station attendant in Greeley. Later he worked for Great Western Sugar Co. in Windsor and then for Hewlett-Packard Co. in Loveland for 24 years. He retired in March 1990.
On Nov. 9, 1956, he married Selma Wegner in Windsor. They moved to Loveland from Windsor in January 1990.
Survivors are his wife, Selma L. Daudert of Loveland; two daughters, Carol Daudert and Arleen Hobbs, both of Loveland; a sister, Erna Starck of Berthoud; a brother, Ewald Daudert of Ochtelbur, Germany; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His parents and two brothers are deceased.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Galilee Baptist Church, Loveland. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor.
Friends may visit from 2-4 p.m. Monday at the Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland.
