Son of Peter Goolrick, Sr., ex-mayor of Fredericksburg, Va.; brother of Fredericksburg Judge John T. Goolrick, and of W. B. Goolrick, also of Fredericksburg.

Residence Fredericksburg, Va.; surgeon.
He was assigned 10/13/1862 to 49th Virginia Infantry as Assistant Surgeon and stationed in Shenandoah County, VA.
Surrendered and Paroled 4/9/1865 at Appomattox, VA.
The 49th Infantry Regiment completed its organization in July, 1861. Its members were from the counties of Prince William, Warren, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Amherst, and Shenandoah.
