Charlie Griffon Fronterhouse, 80, died in a Mangum nursing home on July 4, after a three week illness.
Mr. Fronterhouse and his family lived in the Needwood community many years before going to Plainview Community in Greer County in 1943.
He retired from farming in 1950 and moved to Mangum.
Born February 17, 1888, near Caney, OK, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Saley Fronterhouse. He was married to Alice Lovett January 19, 1908 and they farmed at Caney until moving here.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Alice Fronterhouse of Mangum; four sons and five daughters: H. L. Fronterhouse of Deleon, Hagan Fronterhouse of Aldron, AR, Charlie Fronterhouse, Jr. of Hereford, William Richard Fronterhouse, Prairie Grove, AR, Mrs. Jack Fitzjerls of Mangum, Mrs. Bailey Stinson of Vinson, Mrs. Edward Williams of Reed, Mrs. Lonnie Brown of Wolf City, and Mrs. Roy Flowers of Erick.
Other survivors are 45 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
