"HARTWICK - Mrs. J. Arthur Andrus, a former Hartwick resident, died at Poughkeepsie Thursday. Funeral services were held at Poughkeepsie, with committal services held at 11 a. m. Sunday at Hartwick village cemetery. The Rev. L. L. MacLain, retired, officiated. Mrs. Andrus was born in Schuyler Lake September 30, 1877, the daughter of Eugene and Emma (Welch) Fish. She was married to J. Arthur Andrus in the town of Exeter December 27, 1893. She was a member of the Hartwick Methodist church and lived in the Hartwick area until 1921 when she moved to Poughkeepsie. Surviving are her husband; one son, Walter of Harmon, one sister, Mrs. Anna Berry of Hartwick, and a foster brother, Julian Fish of Ames."
