Stockwell - Clarence Maguire, 69, prominent retired farmer took his own life by hanging Wednesday. His body was found in the driveway of the barn on his farm a mile north of here. Tippecanoe county coroner Dr. Robert E. Williams investigated and gave a suicide verdict. Maguire's body was discovered about 10:30 a.m. It is believed he hanged himself about 30 minutes earlier. He was born in Montgomery county and married Alice Aichholz in 1913 at Covington, Ky. He was a member of Stockwell Methodist church and Tippecanoe county Farm Bureau. Surviving are the widow, a son, Everett of Pheonix, Arizona, and five brothers, Earl, Walter and Floyd of Clarks Hill, Lora of New Richmond and Lloyd of Lafayette, R. 11.
