James K.Polk Bagwell was the son of Terry H Bagwell and Louisa Unknown, both of whom are also buried in this cemetery. James K. P. Bagwell enlisted as a Private in the 11th (Perrin's) Mississippi Cavalry, Company I. He was one of 6 brothers who served the Confederacy during the Civil War.
James K. Polk Bagwell married Elizabeth "Bettie" A Dickie, the only surviving child of her parents Nancy "Nannie" P McGee Dickie (27 Feb 1834 TN - 27 April 1913 TN bd McGee Family Cem., Chester Co TN) and James W. Dickie (22 March 1822 Halifax Co VA - 8 Sept 1859 TN bd McGee family cem., Chester Co TN).
