W. G. Tucker, Obituary
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Winnsboro, with the Rev. Daniel Corkery officiating, for William Griffin Tucker, 65, who died last Thursday morning in a local hospital here. Burial was in the Ward Cemetery at Gilbert.
Mr. Tucker, who apparently suffered a heart attack, was a retired U.S Coast Guard chief petty officer. He was a veteran of World Wars I and II.
Born at Gilbert, Mr. Tucker was a resident of Winnsboro. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, John Charles and Louis Albert Tucker, and a daughter, Patricia Ann Tucker. All are of Winnsboro. Also surviving Mr. Tucker are a brother, John Curtis Tucker, Roanoke, Va., and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Brocato, Gilbert, and Mrs. Aubrey Duchesne, Baskin.
Serving as pallbearers were J. Q. Chatman, Richmond Hanks, Scott Gardner, Jack McKee, Elzie Turner and Dave Chase.
