Harriet V.(McLaughlin) Acker was born March 5th,1889 in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Francis and Harriet(Lane) McLaughlin. She was the wife of the late George J. Acker.

Hattie lived all her married life in the Flatbush Ave. section of Brooklyn, NY. She had a zest for life, and was very active.

Aunt Hattie loved her family, and especially children. My fondest memories as a child were her visiting our family in Levittown, Long Island NY. She always came with surprises for me in her purse.(Chiclets, Life Savers, and a host of other treasures.)
She lived to be 91 years old, and entered into rest on June 16th, 1980. She was laid to rest on June 19th, 1980, following services in St. Charles Cemetery Chapel.

For whatever reason, a monument was never erected for her and George. I had a marker erected by the Esposito Monument Company, in West Babylon. I love and remember Aunt Hattie still.
Harriet Acker was the sister of the now late Eugenia C. McGill, Madeline Howard, Frances R. McLaughlin, Mary A. McLaughlin, Florence E. Leonard, and William McLaughlin.
