She was born to John & Emma Minardi on July 30, 1944 in Pocatello, ID. She moved to Salt Lake after high school to attend the U of U where she met & married Delbert (Lee) Bell in St Ann's Church on August 20, 1964. They lived in Murray, moved to Sandy until she took a medical retirement. She owned a printing company for several years, was elected to Sandy City Council & served 3 years; then was appointed to Director of Public Utilities for Sandy City.
You always knew where you stood & knew you would be backed up 100% by Judy is how most of her employees remember Judy. She had a tough exterior & yet was a generous, caring person. She believed in giving the underdog an opportunity to advance. She will be remembered fondly as the creator of Sandy City's Sego Lily Gardens & Sandy's Streetlight Program. Her personal brand of wit & humor will be missed by all those who knew her best.
Judy is survived by Lee & three sons: John, Tim, & Mike. Judy had 8 grandchildren. Brian Bell was the youngest grandson and has lived with Lee & Judy for 7 years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT. REST IN ETERNAL PEACE.
