MAGNA-Jack Earnest Holsten, 63, died July 25, 1998 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born November 8, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Sherman Earnest and Violet Marie Westenskow Holsten. He married Lorraine Harmon, later divorced. Married Paula Workman, later divorced. He married Sherrie Herron January 26, 1980 in McGill, Nevada.

He was active in the rodeo as a young man, and was an iron worker for many years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, singing, and social gatherings. He loved and was loved by many people around him.

Survived by his wife, Sherrie; children, Guy, Gary, Terri, Marty, Mark, Trudy, and Kim Holsten; step-children, Joel Gillett, Clyde Gillett, Francine Woodson, Kathleen Ford, Judy Madill, and Frankie Taylor who adopted Jack as a father; sisters, Shirley Petersen, Bonnie Hogan, and Pat Gunn; and many grand and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday July 29, 1998 11 a.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, where friends may call Wednesday 9:30-11 a.m.

Interment: Pleasant Green Cemetery.
