Robert Amil Herseim
Robert (Bob) was the victim of a semi-tractor trailer truck accident in which he was the driver. High winds of up to 100 MPH forced his rig off an overpass near Browning Montana in the midst of a winter storm. Memorial services were held at Van Leuven Funeral Home in Columbia Falls, Montana.
Robert graduated from Jefferson County High School in Boulder, Montana. He served as a Loadmaster in the Air Force. He was working as a truck driver for International Transportation in Montana. He had worked as a truck driver, a machinest, and miner in Arizona, and as a steelworker in Colorado.
His first marriage to Nancy Woods of Basin, MT ended in divorce. There were two children of the union; Carey Ann and Charlene. His second marriage to Laurie C. Duncan took place in 1980 in Cooledge Arizona. There were two children of that union: Harley and Trampas.
Robert's mother, Margaret Alice Kessinger-Herseim preceeded him in death. His ashes were buried next to her in the Missoula, Montana Cemetary. Robert is survived by his four children, Carey Ann, Charlene, Harley and Trampas. His father, Amil Rudolph Herseim and stepmother, Felma May Lowe-Herseim. His brothers and sisters: Gary Dean Herseim, Lynette Ann Fielder-Herseim, Craig Allen Herseim, and Pamela Sue Herseim-Schleicher. Also surviving him are his stepbrothers and stepsisters: Dick Ovitt, Donald Ovitt, Dale Ovitt, Dean Alan Ovitt, and Victoria Lynn Ovitt-Taylor.
Bob loved Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, and named his first-born son Harley.
Bob loved to ride.
