IOOF Service for Carl Anderson
Funeral services for Carl Anderson, who died Oct. 7 at Collins Memorial Hospital were held on Oct. 10 from Evans Arlington Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Beals officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery under the auspices of Knoxville IOOF Lodge 90. Casketbearers were Tom McNeish, William Speed, Ralph Geith, Donald Dixon, Fred Godfrey and Ray Crozier. Mrs Guy Anderson was organist. Carl Linus Anderson was born March 2, 1886 in Sweden and came to the United States in 1905. He spent most of his life in Iowa where he worked in the coal mines. He was united in marriage to Pearl Culbertson on Nov. 21, 1925. He was a member of Knoxville IOOF and Masonic Lodges and United Mine Workers of America. His parents and a sister preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Pearl, and two cousins Clem Pearson, Des Moines and Egnar Pearson, Williamson.
