She is a member of the Eunice Sterling Chapter D. A. R., Eastern Star, Pioneer Society, Old Settlers' Club and the Wesley Hospital Board. Mr. Bitting is high in masonic circles, and is a member of the Wichita Club. Mr. and Mrs. Bitting were married at the old Tremont Hotel at the corner of Emporia and Douglas Avenues, in 1880. Bitting, at his home in the Hillcrest Apartments,at age 76. Came to Wichita in 1877 from Pennsylvania to join his brother, A. W. Bitting, who had been here about a year.
