Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bitting, 715 North Lawrence Avenue. Before her marriage Mrs. Bitting was Miss Mary Deming. She is a member of the Eunice Sterling Chapter D. A. R., Eastern Star, Pioneer Society, Old Settlers' Club and the Wesley Hospital Board. Mr. Bitting is high in masonic circles, and is a member of the Wichita Club. Report of death this morning of retired Wichita capitalist Charles W. Bitting, at his home in the Hillcrest Apartments,at age 76. Came to Wichita in 1877 from Pennsylvania to join his brother, A. W. Bitting, who had been here about a year. Survived by wife, two daughters, Mrs. Thomas M. Thomas and Mrs. Charles K. Foote, and by his brother, A. W. Wichita Beacon, October 29, 1932, page 1.
