Graduate of Sandusky High, Sandusky, OH, and University of Toledo with bachelors in physics. Married Mardell Miller Ohlmacher in 1968 and later divorced in the 1980's. Was a health physicist at Flint Osteopathic Hospital, Battle Creek Health System, and taught physics and chemistry at Olivet College. Was an amateur HAM operator and volunteered for many years for the Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS), linking service members with their families by radio. Earned his private pilot license in his '40s and spent many hours flying in Michigan. Was cremated and ashes were interred near his parents, Joseph P. Ohlmacher and Margaret Dorothy Nielsen Ohlmacher.
