DEATH OF MR. DAGGY
J. M. Daggy, a lifelong resident of Augusta county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P. A. Black, near Arbor Hill, Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Mr. Daggy had been in declining health for over two years but his sudden death came as a shock to his many relatives and friends. He was in his seventy-sixth year and for many years a devoted member of the Mt. Olivet United Brethern church. He was survived by one sister, Mrs. Lucy Michael, near Mt. Solon; eight children, J. E. Daggy, of Staunton; J. C. Daggy, of near Mt. Solon; Mrs. J. A. Sutton, of Verona; Mrs. S. T. Landis, of Harrisonburg; Mrs. Samuel Howdyshell, of near Staunton; Mrs. Fannie Talley, of Zetta; Mrs. J. F. Props, of West Augusta, and Mrs. P. A. Black , of near Arbor Hill; also 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Mt. Olivet church at 3 o'clock Saturday morning. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
NOTE: Husband of the 1st cousin, four times removed of my wife.
