Lavincie was the 2nd wife of Albert Franklin Hood and mother of sons: Raymond Robert Hood and Cecil C. Hood.
She attended school and resided in the Flat Creek area of Henderson Co., Texas where she married Albert F. Hood on March 05, 1903 in Athens, Henderson Co., Texas.

Rites Tuesday for Mrs. A. F. Hood --- Lavincie A. Duncan Hood --- Mrs. A. F. Hood, 75, passed away at the home of her son Raymond Hood in Corsicana Monday at 11:30 a.m. Mrs. Hood had lived in Corsicana since 1940 and had formerly resided in the Flat Creek Community.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Carroll & Lehr Memory Chapel with the Rev. T.L. Sims officiating. Internment was in the Ash Cemetery.
Mrs. Hood is survived by two sons, Raymond and Cecil Hood of Athens, one brother, A. L. Duncan of Corsicana, one sister, Mrs. J. H. Roberts of Corsicana.
The Carroll & Lehr funeral home of Athens was in charge of arrangements. Palllbearers were Alfred Cravey, Cody Hal, P. C. Riley, Carl Morton, Henry Worsham and Melvin Dougas.
