father was William Cosby who died Easter Sunday at the age of 93 (article appeared in Cayuga Herald on Friday, April 8, 1910). He was born in Kentucky in 1817.
ten children: Elias Cosby of Cayuga, William Cosby of Indianapolis, George Cosby of Farmer City, IL, Jobe Cosby of Cochran, In, Philip Cosby of Aurora, In, Jackson Cosby of Cincinnati, Arch and Thomas Cosby of Hamilton, Ohio, Mrs. Gannon of Cochran, IN and Mrs. Hattie Harding of Hamilton, OH. Three daughters died before their father, Emma, Sada and Anna.
Elias Cosby had three sons Everett, Robert and Clarence at the time of his death

Deaths of the Week
ELIAS RICHARD COSBY, aged 70 years, a farmer of the Whipple school house neighborhood, 4 miles northwest of Eugene, died February 18, 1920, of strangulated hernia. Deceased was born in Dearborn County, IN September 2, 1849 and moved to this county from Farmer City, IL, 14 years ago. His widow and 3 sons - Everette of Danville, IL; Robert C. and Clarence at home - survive. He was of a family of 12 children, 8 of whom - 6 brothers and 2 sisters, yet living.
Funeral services were conducted at his late home Friday afternoon by Rev. Dan L. Sollars of Cayuga. Burial took place in the Eugene Cemetery.
