Son of Henry Lynn GRAY and Elizabeth SULLIVAN.
Ezekiel married Prudence Jane CASE on October 15, 1857, in Ripley County.
On August 15, 1862, Ezekiel enlisted as a Corporal in Co. F., 83rd Indiana Infantry Volunteers. Enlistment was at Osgood, Ripley County, Indiana. He was discharged on January 12, 1863, at Cairo, Illinois, as the result of a disability.
In 1870 and 1880, he and Prudence were living in Ripley County, Indiana.
After Prudence died, he moved north. In 1910, he was in Benton County, Indiana, living with his sister (Mary). In 1920, he was in Fulton County, Indiana, living with his sister.
In September 1920, he was admitted to the Veterans Hospital in Grant County, Indiana, with heart problems. After two weeks, he was transferred to the Veterans Hospital in Vermilion County, Illinois. From there, on September 26, 1921, he was transferred again. The notation is "Tr to So Br."
