Information obtained from Devlin Funeral Home obituary.

Jay's sister, Linda (Woodham) (QV'60) wrote: "Jay was one of those people who did not "blossom" until after graduation from high School. He didn't want to go to school and only went to keep our Mom happy. However, after he graduated, he joined my father's union (Local 66 Operating Engineers) and eventually rose to be on the Executive Board. He spoke in front of large groups of people, visited many cities in the US and oversaw tons of job sites. I will truly miss him as he was my only sibling and he was very good to my family. He had Hodgkins Disease since he was 38 so it was a long hard fight to keep him alive for 34 years."
