According to her Washington state death certificate, Dessie was the daughter of Andrew J. Wells and Hattie Mae Hilliard. she worked in a fruit warehouse. She had two sisters, Virginia Irene and Audrey.

"Dessie O. Britt Frost

Cashmere - Dessie O. Britt Frost, 76, a longtime North Central Washington resident, died Saturday evening, Dec. 9, 1989, in the Cashmere Convalescent Center.

She was born Dec. 2, 1913, at Vernon, Iowa, to Andrew J. and Hattie Mae (Hilliard) Wells. They came to Monitor in 1916 and then to cashmere in 1920 where she attended school.

She married William A. Britt in 1932 and he died as a result of a logging accident in Alaska. She worked for Shipley's Cafe and in fruit warehouses in Cashmere and then married Stephen C. Frost on August 24, 1947, in East Wenatchee. They lived in Nahahum Canyon and she worked for Schmitten Lumber Co., in Cashmere restaurants, for Blue Star and Pioneer Growers, and did Christian home nursing.

She was a member of Cashmere First Baptist Church and Purity Rebekah Lodge No. 164.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen Frost, East Wenatchee, and Dennis Frost, Cashmere; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974 and two sons.
