Mullins, S.C. - Mrs. Dora Elliott, 71, widow of Charlie Elliott of the Mt. Olive section of Horry County, died early Tuesday in a local hospital following an illness of one month.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. R.A. McKinney at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, directed by Meares Funeral Service.
Born in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Morgan and Dolly Williamson Elliott. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include six sons, Grove C. Elliott and Braxton Elliott of Nichols, Dozier Elliott of Wilmington, N.C., Howard Elliott of Loris, Maxie Elliott of Tabor City, N.C., and Branford Elliott of Mullins; one daughter, Mrs. Hubert Henderson of Asheboro, N.C.; six brothers, Waterman Elliott, Emory Elliott, Luther Elliott and Frank Elliott of Nichols and Stuart Elliott and Willie Elliott of Mullins; four sisters, Mrs. Fletcher Causey, Mrs. H.M. Elliott and Mrs. Mager Ford of Nichols and Mrs. Janie Herring of Mullins; 14 granchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
