Tragically Terri Jo lost her life at the age of 23 in a car wreck about two miles from her parent's home in Sequin. Her two young sons, Michael and John were reared by their grandparents, Ralph and Mary Emma Wagnon.
Terri Jo was buried in one of the family plots in the Rosenberg Cemetery. In 2006, her son Michael died at the age of 25 and was buried with her in this plot.
