Childhood friend, To My Hall Buddy: I will never forget you. You and I were hall buddies in grammar school, because we constantly had to stand in the hall for talking. I lost track of you after grammar school, but never forgot you and the fun we had in school. You are the only soldier that I knew personally who died in Vietnam. I don't even remember how I found out you died there, but you did and I will be forever proud that I was a friend to such a brave soldier who gave his life for his country. I have written before, but the messages are no longer there. Rest in Peace my old friend. Becky Jenkins, 10700 Summit Tree Court, Charlotte NC, 28277.
