Helen Ida Dulock, 76, of West, joyfully went to be with her blessed Lord Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at her residence. A rosary will be recited and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Helen was born near Otto, Texas, to Rudolph and Bertha (Plegans) Kunkel. On Nov. 21, 1950, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, John Dulock, whom she met at a dance. They were married 40 years and one month when he preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1992. Helen worked in the clothing industry for J. M. Woods Manufacturing in Waco, which later became Bayly Apparel. She left there in 1984, to take care of her grandchildren. She also worked at the Elk Hall on Saturday nights, making hamburgers, fries and nachos. Helen enjoyed cooking, the color pink and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She made all of their birthday cakes. Helen was a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge #35 in Elk, and St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours.

Also preceding Helen in death were her parents; her step-father, Rudolph Jander; her brother, Roy Kunkel; and her sister, Ruby Pavelka.

Survivors include sons, Gaylon Dulock and wife, Tammy, of Lacy Lakeview, and Steve Dulock and wife, Penny, of Mt. Calm; sisters, Grace Lander, of Lacy Lakeview, and Dorothy Banik, of Elm Mott; grandchildren, Shannon Dulock and wife, Tina, of Axtell, Brooke Dulock and Matt Dulock, both of Mt. Calm, and Troy Terry and Travis Terry, both of Lacy Lakeview; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Lexy, Toby and Trevlyn; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
