Colie "King Fish" Walker
Birth: Aug. 4, 1925
South Congaree
Lexington County
South Carolina, USA
Death: Feb. 11, 2010
Detroit
Wayne County
Michigan, USA

His parents were Ida and William Walker and to this union three sons were born William, Colie and Daniel.

Colie (King Fish) was married Nora Smothers and to this union one daughter was born Sophia.

He has two grand-daughters Jacqelyn, Jasmine and and three grand-sons Jerel, Jermaine who preceeds him in death and Jalen. He was very close to his grand-children and was very proud of all of them and was especially crazy about his youngest grand-son Jalen that was his heart.

Colie worked with his brother Dan who owned and operated a Standard gas station on Grandriver in Detroit for over twenty five years.

Colie was a very close friend of mine and was second a father to me. He had the funniest sense of humor and was a very well known and liked in the community. He loved riding his bike, he had a little shop in the neighborhood on the North-end of Detroit where all the old timers would come around everyday and chew the fat. A place the old timers could go to get out of the house.

To be continued.
