Lola Adam, 84, of Spearfish, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Serenity Corner Assisted Living in Spearfish.
Lola May Miller was born August 21, 1922 in Lincoln, NE to Harold and Bertha (Marshall) Miller. As a small child the family moved to Spearfish where Lola grew up and attended school. She graduated from Spearfish High School. Lola married Julius Emil Adam on November 23, 1942 in Newcastle, WY. They made their home in Tinton for a time before moving to Spearfish. Lola worked at Noren's Laundromat, the Dorsett Home, and Lookout Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, cake baking and decorating, also Good Sam's Camping.
Lola is survived by two sons, Garry (Judy) Adam, Spearfish and Jerry (Lois) Adam, Olympia, WA; two daughters, Leona Lewis, Port Angeles, WA and Judy (Eddie) Meisner, Sundance, WY; two brothers, Donald Miller, Spearfish, SD and George Miller, Piedmont, SD; one sister, Betty Goff of Dayton, WA. Seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one infant brother.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 6, at 1:00 P.M. at the New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Spearfish, with Rev. Wesley White officiating. Burial will follow in Black Hills National Cemetery at Sturgis, SD. The Aldinger Funeral Home and Cremation Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.
