Margaret F. Baker died in her home at 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2004.
She was born in Perry KS but moved to Topeka and resided there all her life. Margaret was the daughter of Albert H. and Bertha Pashman. She graduated from Capitol Catholic High School. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic faith and a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. She volunteered for the Girl Scouts and religious services in past years. She worked for 32 years for A. H. Pashman & Son Contractor doing all phases of office work.
She married Max A. Baker on May 31, 1947. He survives. She is survived by her daughter, Judy and son-in-law, Mike Groves, and grandson, Chris, in Arkansas City; a granddaughter, Lori and her husband, Paul Turec, and great-grandson, Max, in Olathe; a grandson, Jeb Wright, his wife, Patty, a great-granddaughter, Cassidy, and a great-grandson, Cameron, in Arkansas City; and a granddaughter, Ashley and her husband, Nathan Friend, in Phoenix AZ. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Baker will lie in state from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
