Gerald "Jerry" Ridenour, 73, of Lowell died Wednesday, November 1, 2000, at Kellmark Nursing Home in Rogers, Arkansas. Born September 15, 1927, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, he was the son of Gerald Irvin and Rachel Madole Ridenour. He was the widower of Helen Ridenour.
He lived most of his life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Disney, Oklahoma. He moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2000. He served in the U S Navy during World War II, and he loved fishing and gardening.
He is survived by a son, Dale Ridenour of Rogers, Arkansas; a daughter, Teresa Waggoner of Lowell, Arkansas; a brother; four sisters; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville with the Rev. Gary Blackburn officiating. Military honors were provided by the Northwest Arkansas Honor Guard of the American Legion Post No. 100 of Rogers. Visitation was at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.
