Raymond Charles Brindley (RC) was the son of Raymond Dewey Brindley JR. and Darlene Ann(Cavin) Brindley.

He Married Susan Ann McElligott Sept.1990 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, the marriage ending in divorce.

Children:
Sean Boston Brindley

Raymond was baptized Sept.10,1994 in Az.

Raymond played football, and baseball for his high school and was selected for the all star team but, due to a death in family he was unable to attend the big game.

At an early age he wanted to become either a archaeologist or a marine biologist which intensified his love of books, especially in the areas of Greek mythology, where he excelled. He was often found with a stack of books in the process of being read.

When he was little Raymond would ask me, mom how do you spell this word or that word he always got the same answer from me get the dictionary. Just before he passed away his dad was working on something in the office and asked Ray how to spell a word. With a little smirk he looked at his dad and said get a dictionary and left the room. He gave me a wink and his dad something to think about.

He was a lover of all kinds of music, Kiss, Pink Floyd and Carly Simon to name a few. His favorite gospel was Swing Low Sweet Chariot, this one always made him feel better when his illness took him down from the time he was very small.

Raymond learned to play chess at seven and often beat people that thought a little kid really couldn't play well, as he whipped them, he did it with a little twinkle in his Irish eyes and thank them for his practice

When he was small Batman was his hero, so he just had to have the costume when it came out, I spent a full year watching him leap off his bed. Running through the house thinking anytime the cape would carry him into the great unknown.

He was so proud of his Irish Heritage it wasn't just a day in March. He loved the tenors and their heart tugging songs that ran deep into his soul. Corned beef & cabbage and a stout ale was a staple in his home.

He was offered a special appointment to West Point Prep School, which ill health would not let him except.

For many years he fought his own demons but in the end he conquered them and made peace with life.

His family and friends knew him as "RC". He was truly a gentle giant of a man, whose deep compassion placed others' needs before his own . He was a quiet and loving soul.

Raymond was a avid sports fan when baseball came on he was in a world of his own . He knew all the stats and had collected baseball and football cards his whole life. He started some of his nephews in the love of the game and card collecting. He stayed loyal to his home town Detroit Tigers even putting up with a smile, with all the kidding he received

Many valued his kindness and friendship in the end and were saddened at his early passing.

To those who leave flowers or words for our son RC thank you for your kindness, they help to add comfort to our hearts God Bless
