Frances J. Stone Lay, 52 years of age, of Pulaski County, Kentucky, departed this life on August 4, 1920.

She was born on January 28, 1868, at Pulaski County, Kentucky, the daughter of Alfred Stone and Ibby Jane Reynolds Stone.

Frances was married to Brent Frank Lay on June 13, 1886 at Pulaski County, Kentucky. From this union came five sons, Henry M. Lay, Louis Lay, Noble G. Lay, Fred S. Lay and Walter B. Lay; and three daughters, Mattie Lay, Cordie E. Lay and Irene C. Lay.

Burial was in the Bishop Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
