Earl Roy Stone, 65 years of age, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, formerly of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, June 29th, 1993 in Colorado Springs.
A Science Hill, Kentucky native, he was born on August 23rd, 1927, son of the late James and Jennie Ramsey Stone. He was retired from the United States Army, and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Colorado Springs.
Earl was survived by his loving wife, Wanda Garner Flynn Stone, whom he married on July, 30th, 1954 in Abilene, Kansas; three sons, Gary M. Stone of Ogden, Utah, Earl R. Stone Jr. of Las Vages, Nevada, and Jamie T. Stone of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother, Russell Stone of Orlando, Florida; one sister, Vivlet Ard of Somerset, Kentucky; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Visitations were held from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company in Somerset, Kentucky.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2nd, 1993 in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky, with Rev. Sammie Adkins officiating.
