Services for James A. "Curley" Chastain, Sr., 78, of 15 Hamric Dr., Oxford, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Hicks and Rev. Alton Parris officiating. Burial will be in Halls Chapel Cemetery. The family wil receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Chastain died Monday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Grace E. Chastain of Oxford; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Leverett and Mrs. Pat Ashworth, both of Oxford; three sons, James A. Chastain, Jr. of Ohatchee, Thomas A. Chastain and Richard Chastain, both of Anniston; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Finch, John Brooks, Comer Holderfield, Roy C. Snead, Jr., Gerald Lamar Edwards and J. C. Burkes.
Mr. Chastain was a resident of Calhoun County most of his life, a member of the Assembly of God Church and a World War II veteran.
