Maggie Ruth was the daughter of John Kennedy Skiles and Tempie Eleanor Lewis Skiles. She was known best as "Ruth", a name befitting her, being as she was such a kind and generous person. Ruth was respected and loved by many, and adored by her grandchildren. She was the wife of Commodore Forrest Tunnell. Ruth and Forrest lived and raised their children in what is known as "Jones Community", which is just outside of Grand Saline, TX. Children born to them were Nancy Christine, Brady Virgil, Helen Bernice, Tempie Rebecca,and an infant son and infant daughter, both of whom died soon after birth.
