Kelly was my niece and a best friend. She was the youngest child of David and Barbara Tips and her father's princess, her mother's very heart. She was born with a hole in her heart and other major heart problems, but through the grace of God, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the fact that she was born a Tips and had a strong spirit, she gave us 17 wonderful blessed years. She was a miracle baby and she grew to be a precious child. She was beautiful (Oh! Such beautiful blue eyes she had), smart, sweet, feisty, loving and full of fun. She spoke her mind whether it was good or bad. She was honest and loyal, a true friend. I would call her crying sometimes, telling her my adult problems. She was very mature for her age. She would just listen to me cry and then say "It's going to be alright, Aunt Laura" and it always was. After every phone conversation she would always say "I love you" and that made me feel better, every time. She was and is so special to me. She loved pickles, Clamato juice, hot sauce, Marylin Manson, the color purple, bubble gum; she loved to swim. She loved going on vacation with her parents in North Carolina. The family all believes that she was at her happiest when she passed because she was on vacation at the time. She was loved, deeply, and she knew it; she poured out love in return. She loved her family and her Aunts and Uncles very much and we loved her. She was an angel that God let us borrow for a while, and now He has called her Home. We will forever miss her and our lives will feel empty without her. Her death is a void that will never be filled. Her spirit lives on. As my husband wanted to shout out at her viewing service, KELLY TIPS RULES!!!!!
